What the site is

CalculateMyGold.com is a free online tool that estimates the melt value of gold, silver, and platinum based on user-entered weight and purity and publicly available metal spot prices. It also includes an optional deal checker that compares an offered price against the calculated melt value.

Informational use only — not financial advice

Figures produced by the calculator are approximations. Real-world transactions depend on many factors the site cannot account for: dealer premiums, refiner assay fees, local taxes, craftsmanship value, rarity, numismatic value, current market liquidity, and spread between bid and ask prices. The calculator's "melt value" is the theoretical value of the pure metal content only.

Price accuracy and data sources

The site displays spot prices obtained from third-party data feeds. While we make reasonable efforts to keep this data fresh, we cannot guarantee that prices are real-time, accurate, or complete at any given moment. Prices can move significantly between the time you view them and the time you transact. Always verify the current market price with a reputable source before acting on any figure the site displays.

No warranty

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CalculateMyGold.com and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the site or reliance on any information it provides. This includes, without limitation, any loss incurred when buying, selling, or holding precious metals.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated scrapers, bots, or other tools to overload our servers or those of our data providers.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code beyond what the browser legitimately receives.
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Republish the site's output as if it were your own authoritative pricing service.

Intellectual property

The design, text, logo, and original code of CalculateMyGold.com are the property of the site's operator and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may share links to the site freely. Any other reuse of site content requires prior written permission.

Third-party links and services
